other Kirk products so popular, the Kirk Ball Head features

Angola, Indiana.
Weighing in at only 30
ounces, this ball head features silky smooth ball-and-socket
action for complete control--just by releasing and locking a
single knob. Two smaller knobs control the 360-degree
panning base and the amount of ball friction. The Model BH-1
features a universal quick-release platform with a built-in
spirit level that accepts all Arca-style plates and mounts.
All external components are crafted from tough 6061-T
aircraft aluminum including the solid, captive-design knobs,
and the internal metal parts are stainless steel and brass
to avoid corrosion. The ballcup is produced from
self-lubricating Delrin composite, and the tripod socket
accepts 3/8-inch thread. This could be the last ball head
you ever need to buy.

Weighing only 19 ounces
(compared to 30 ounces for the BH-1), this ball head
features the same silky smooth ball-and-socket action as its
big brother. You have fast aiming and framing control just
by releasing and locking a single knob. Two smaller knobs

friction. Both the BH-1 and BH-3 feature our new

Snap
Collars
A snap collar offers
low-cost protection when you plan to carry your camera on
your tripod with a lens attached. Now available for the
Markins Q3, M10, and M20 ballheads, we also offer snap
collars to fit the Kirk BH-1 and BH-3, and Arca Swiss B1 and
Z. The collar prevents the ball from flopping to the side
and damaging your equipment. They also help avoid undue
stress on the locking mechanism, helping your ball head
perform and last longer.

Camera
Plates
The
more quickly you need to work in the field, lab or studio,
the more you'll appreciate Kirk Arca-style quick-release
camera plates. A quick release system not only lets you work
more quickly, you'll find you can mount your equipment to
your tripod head more securely with less risk of vibration
or slipping. We suggest that you add quick-release plates to
each camera.
Must be used in conjunction with Arca-style Quick Release
Platforms like our Ball
Heads or any of our Quick
Release Clamps.
Safety Stops
Stainless steel screws are included to create safety stops.
Camera plates can slide halfway across the QR Clamp before
stopping, giving you greater control without sacrificing
flexibility.

make and model so as to have the correct fit for you camera

Lens
Plates
Our
custom machined camera and lens plates are Arca-style
compatible and expertly crafted from solid alloy aluminum.
Many models feature precisely contoured anti-twist flanges
or a non-pivoting lip design, while others offer multiple
mounting screws. These features keep the plates from
twisting and enhance rigidity. All are anodized with a
scratch-resistant black satin finish, and mounting screws
are captive and machined from high strength stainless steel.
You gain better control, greater speed, and more security
with every shot.
